Job overview

The 11+ Admissions Officer is a member of the Admissions Office and administers the 11+ admissions process. The post holder works closely with the Head of St Paul’s Juniors and Head of Third Years, & has regular contact with St Pauls Juniors teaching and office staff, prospective parents and feeder schools. The post holder will assist in the planning and management of internal and external open events. The individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work confidentially and efficiently. Experience of working in an admission department is desirable.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (all year-round). The post holder will also be expected to work occasional Saturdays, for which time in lieu will be given.

St Paul’s School was founded in 1509 and currently occupies a large site in Barnes, south-west London. A selective independent school, it provides an education for boys aged 7-18 and has boarding facilities for a small number of its students.

Prospective entrants are usually expected to pass online and/or written examinations across a range of subjects, as well as undergoing an interview with a senior member of staff. In order to improve accessibility for students from poorer backgrounds, a wide range of bursaries and scholarships are available for boys who reach the required academic standard.
