ISR is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme and also offers Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSE courses. The school is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

We are currently recruiting
 elementary school teachers to join our ISR campus starting in August 2026. This position is based at our established ISR campus and offers an excellent opportunity to grow as part of our vibrant school community.

During the initial application and interview process, candidates will have the chance to discuss the possibility of joining the founding team of our new elementary school location opening in Düsseldorf, expected in August 2027. Those interested in this pathway may be selected to transfer to the Düsseldorf campus when it opens, becoming part of the team that shapes the culture, learning environment, and community of our new location.

Key Skills

·         Excellent subject knowledge and dynamic teaching experience in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies at the elementary level (Grades 1–6)

·         Proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice

·         Commitment to attaining the highest standards in teaching and learning

·         High expectations regarding student attainment, behaviour, and well-being

·         Fluency with modern EdTech, including AI-supported tools that enhance teaching, learning, and assessment

·         A collaborative, pioneering mindset suited to shaping a new school campus if desired

Responsibilities

·         Plan and deliver core subject lessons in Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Studies

·         Support pupils in achieving success in their learning while promoting overall progress and well-being

·         Nurture the social, emotional, and mental well-being of students through a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

·         Communicate regularly with parents, including through parent–teacher conferences

·         Contribute to whole-school initiatives, meetings, and events as required

·         Offer extra-curricular activities that enrich the school’s educational provision

Additional Requirements

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Elementary Education (or equivalent)

·         Minimum of two years’ experience as the lead teacher in an elementary classroom

·         Eagerness to inspire students and collaborate positively with colleagues

·         Commitment to high academic standards and international education

·         Ability to use assessment to support ongoing learning and provide timely, relevant feedback

·         Strong classroom management and understanding of the academic, social, and emotional dimensions of learning

·         Knowledge of the Cambridge Primary/Lower Secondary program is an asset

·         Experience teaching Art, Music, Theatre, or Computer Science at the elementary level is an asset
