Situated in Cranbrook, The High Weald Academy is an exciting and innovative 11-18 school which welcomes students of all abilities and aims to provide them with the skills and qualifications needed to turn them into confident and successful citizens.
A rare leadership opportunity has arisen at The High Weald Academy, and we are seeking to appoint a highly effective leader to join us as Assistant Principal from September 2016. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner, with an excellent understanding of all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment and the ability to lead and motivate staff and students alike. In return, you will receive encouragement, support and guidance not only to develop the Academy, but also your own career within the Trust.
Specific responsibilities for the post will be agreed according to the experience and skills of the successful candidate.

High Weald Academy is a small school serving a widespread rural area. There is a calm and orderly environment and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of academy life. The academy currently has just under 300 students. The School Farm is outstanding and wins a range of accolades and prizes as a result of the work we do with the community and local primary schools. It also gives opportunities to learn in a different context within and beyond the curriculum.
