Job overview

If you are ready to take the next step in your career and play a pivotal part in shaping the future of this successful, ambitious and forward-looking school, we would like to hear from you.

The trustees seek to appoint a well-qualified, innovative and committed individual who will support the values, aims and ethos of the College and work hard with us to help shape and realise our vision.

The post has come about by the current Faculty Leader wishing to step down from a middle leadership position to focus on their classroom teaching which is their passion. We are taking the opportunity to add to the capacity of the senior leadership team and develop further the College’s vision and provision for the more able throughout the College. Therefore, this is a new and exciting post.

The faculty consists of nine mathematicians and one business studies teacher. Each teacher has their own specialist classroom and all of the rooms are located in a bespoke mathematics area. Currently the faculty follow the EDEXCEL syllabus at GCSE and A level.

The position requires excellent understanding of improvement strategies, with the ability to manage change and to motivate staff towards achieving clear and ambitious goals. Above all, you will possess a relentless drive to raise standards for our students. This is a unique opportunity for a leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and an unwavering belief in the potential of every child. The successful candidate will be part of an ambitious team who believe that success in learning leads to success in life.

We place great emphasis on helping staff settle happily and purposefully with us. Careful attention is paid to their inductions and subsequent professional development. The successful applicant can look forward to joining a strong and supportive team of dedicated and hardworking colleagues.
