Job overview
Exeter School is looking for an Assistant Secretary to work in the Junior School on a term-time basis. The post holder will be accountable to the Headmistress' PA. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. The post holder will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday: 0845 to 1730 (with 45 minutes for lunch) in term time with an additional 10 days being worked in the School holidays (actual days to be agreed to meet the needs of the School).
This is an important and very busy position within the Junior School working closely with the Headmistress' PA to ensure the day-to-day functioning of the Junior School, in support of the Headmistress and her staff. The position includes a wide range of tasks involving pupils, parents and staff. The successful applicant should be committed to the aims of Exeter School, and be willing to show interest, initiative and motivation to contribute to the school community as a whole.
