ASSISTANT SITE SUPERVISOR

The successful candidate will:
· Carry out general maintenance, repairs and cleaning functions around the school site
· Operate appropriate machinery and learn and use specialist systems and equipment
· Organise, monitor and oversee the safe work of external contractors
· Understand the importance of health and safety, have a good working knowledge of health and safety at work and comply with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
· Show initiative and have the ability to work independently
· Enjoy working in a very busy and demanding environment
· Believe in the importance of teamwork and a collaborative approach
· Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in their approach with a pro-active approach to problem solving

Whitmore High School is a mixed, non-denominational community comprehensive secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in the London Borough of Harrow, and is operated by the local council.
Whitmore was founded in 1974, and has about 1,600 pupils.
