We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious leader, who is also a teacher of Mathematics. This is an adaptable role depending on the experience and aspirations of prospective candidates and will play a key role in the enhancement of Mathematics and Learning and Teaching across our school.  

Responsibilities:

• To trial, model and showcase impactful teaching in your own classroom

• To raise the progress and attainment of High Prior Attaining students across the school by leading on the development of challenge and engagement in lessons.

• Support faculty leaders in the development of quality first teaching, particularly in Mathematics, with an emphasis on High Prior Attaining students.

• Work with the Learning and Teaching team to support the development of learning and teaching across the school through instructional coaching and professional growth.

• To provide opportunities for participant feedback, linking teacher practice to student experiences and outcomes.

• Alternative, or additional, opportunities could include the development of Inclusive Classrooms, with a focus on SEMH. This would suit candidates with a passion for Inclusion, SEND and embedding inclusive learning and teaching.

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Is an excellent Mathematics classroom practitioner with a love of teaching and an enthusiasm for ensuring that every child achieves their full potential;

• Is passionate about children’s learning, with a proven track record of raising attainment and accelerating progress;

• Is an aspiring or experienced leader who has previously worked in a TLR or similar leadership role;

• Is keen to progress in their career and have an influence on teaching and learning beyond their own classroom.

• Has a good understanding of the secondary Mathematics curriculum.
