An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the pastoral team within Robert Barclay Academy. As a school we are rightly proud of the pastoral support we offer our students.

We are looking for someone to work within our existing pastoral team in order to support the already successfully embedded rewards and consequences system at Robert Barclay Academy. You will be primarily focused on using data to establish patterns, which you will use to implement strategies for improving the behaviour for learning of young people who attend the school. This includes management of the school’s internal isolation centre and centralised detention system, restorative justice, the investigation of incidents, and acting as an advisor to staff in terms of behaviour management strategies for the classroom.

You will be responsible alongside the pastoral team for one-to-one work with disaffected young people in order to change patterns of behaviour. You will have a vital role in monitoring the impact of the schools behaviour for learning system in order to inform future planning and evidence successes.

The person appointed will be supported by an assigned SLT, DSP and Heads of Year.

Details for the role are available from the Central HR Team. The email address is HR@scholarseducationtrust.co.uk

Closing date: 9.00am on Tuesday, 17th July 2018.

Interview date: TBC

Scholars’ Education Trust is an equal opportunities employer. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
