Penistone Grammar School is expanding! Due to additional demand, we will be increasing our student numbers by over 300 in the next few years; we are therefore looking for a number of passionate and innovative teaching and support staff to join our team.
Penistone Grammar School Advanced Learning Centre is looking to recruit 2 Science Technicians (Chemistry and Biology) with the enthusiasm and drive to join this department, contributing to its well-established tradition of success.
Penistone Grammar School Advanced Learning Centre is looking to recruit a Technician who will work as part of the Science Team supporting students’ achievement with a specific focus on Chemistry or Biology. The Technician is an integral part of the curriculum team and as a Technician, the post holder will need to ensure the appropriate equipment and resources are prepared, ready and available for lessons while adhering to the correct procedures (for example, COSHH, Health & Safety etc). They will also need to support teaching staff and students in practical lessons.
You will have:
- Experience of working in a science-related environment
- The ability to work well as part of a team while maintaining responsibility for your own work load
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) at grade C or above including English and mathematics
- A first aid certificate (or willingness to become qualified in first aid)
