Job overview

Acorns is a highly successful before and after school childcare facility, based at Hillcroft Primary School in Caterham. The club provides quality childcare for children between the ages of 3 and 11 and caters for up to 70 children per session.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to manage the day-to-day provision of our Acorns team and continue providing a safe and stimulating environment for every child within our provision.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team and in close partnership with the leadership team, to provide a safe and stimulating environment that encourages creative and imaginative play; developing a variety of activities including arts and crafts, cooking and other indoor and outdoor games. They will be responsible for the administrative side of the club, including invoicing, purchasing resources, staff CPD and developing and reviewing club policies. 

They should also be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with parents/carers in a way that supports children and values parental involvement.

As part of the Acorns team you will be expected to participate in training to develop your personal and professional skills and work alongside the whole staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind Acorns is fulfilled.

Hours: 33.75  hours per week, 7am - 10am, 2:30pm - 6:15pm. This role is term time + 3 weeks with the successful candidate working one week at Easter and two weeks in the summer holidays. 

Salary: G7 FTE £24,956 - £29,445 Pro Rata £21,478 - £25,342
