We seek to appoint a Catering Assistants to work in our busy school kitchen. The post will involve general kitchen duties, to include food preparation and presentation, serving of food, clearing, cleaning and washing up.
The successful candidate will ideally have a genuine interest in food and nutrition, quality ingredients, and their importance in a school setting. High standards of hygiene, a willingness to work as part of a team and recent and relevant experience in a busy catering environment, ideally within the hospitality sector, are essential. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a nationally recognised qualification. We would expect you to maintain very high standards and to enjoy contributing to an excellent working environment for pupils, staff, parents and visitors to the School.
Your salary will be paid throughout the year and we offer opportunities for overtime. Uniform and safety shoes are provided. All catering staff are offered professional development and will be trained to NVQ Level 2 in Catering. Benefits include a staff pension scheme you can opt into, with employer contributions and lunch is provided.
This role is predominantly term-time, although additional days/hours will be required at the start and end of each term, to include training days. The hours of work will be from 10.30am until 2.30pm.
