About Clifton High School
Over recent years, Clifton High School has undergone a dynamic and proactive period of change to become an established and well-respected, fully coeducational, academically selective school, for pupils from 3-18. Underpinned by a strong family and pastoral ethos, it is one of the few schools in the country to offer the Diamond Edge Model of education, whereby boys and girls learn together until Year 6, then separately in core subjects in Years 7-9, before coming back to study together again for GCSE and A Level.
Situated in the heart of Clifton, Bristol, Clifton High benefits from excellent facilities onsite, as well as extensive off-site sports facilities shared with the University of Bristol. The School's tagline of 'Realising Individual Brilliance' in every child is much valued by parents. There is a culture of high expectation, but the achievement of everyone who achieves better than expected is celebrated. Clifton High School encourages responsible ecological values and is the only Eco School in Bristol with the Green Flag Award. Although not an 'International School', Clifton High welcomes international pupils; for international students aged 16 or over whose parents are overseas, it offers a unique home boarding service with local families. Embracing the close link that Bristol has with France, Clifton High is one of the only schools in the area to offer a programme which allows French speaking pupils to follow both the French and English curricula concurrently.
Recent excellent ISI and Good Schools Reports can be found on the School's website.
To provide an environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and confidence, delivers first class teaching that inspires and challenges and celebrates each child for who they are and what they do.
