In 2016, South Nottinghamshire Academy moved into its £10 million brand new school and became part of the successful Redhill Academy Trust. We are an increasingly popular 11-18 school located in the village of Radcliffe-on Trent near Nottingham and in March 2022, we again secured a ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement in all areas of inspection.
The Academy is also a member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and a chance to work alongside colleagues from other high-performing schools in the region. The Trust also leads the regional Teaching School Hub, delivering local teacher training and the National Professional Qualifications for teachers.

Welcome to South Nottinghamshire Academy – a vibrant and thriving school at the heart of the communities of Radcliffe on Trent, Cotgrave and Shelford.
In 2022, SNA students once again secured some spectacular outcomes. Our Progress 8 score was securely positive which means that every student achieved stronger outcomes than comparable students at similar schools. At A Level, our results were equally impressive with students gaining their preferred choices in education, employment or training – including those who secured places at either the University of Cambridge or Oxford. SNA is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Nottinghamshire, serving students from the age of 11-18. The secondary school, situated in Nottingham has approximately 830 students on record.
In September 2016, we moved into our brand-new school building and at the same time, we joined Redhill Academy Trust. In partnership, we have a passion to continually support and drive school improvement. In January 2023, to ensure we can continue to accommodate the increasing need for school places in our catchment, we moved into our new £2.65 million extension. Alongside other facility developments including a new 3G floodlit pitch (September 2022), our school community has long lasting, modern day facilities that enhance students’ educational experience. And in March 2022, Ofsted Inspectors visited us and confirmed that the school remains at least 'Good' in all areas of inspection - and we have improved significantly since this point.
Values and Vision:
We passionately believe that in order for students to reach their academic potential, they must experience the highest levels of individual care, guidance and support. Within a welcoming and supportive environment, we provide a stimulating and engaging education where all students can flourish and succeed.
As a school community, we have developed our work around the philosophy of ‘Pushing our boundaries to achieve more’. In continually aspiring to do this, we have created and implemented ‘the SNA Way’ – it represents the set of core values that underpin our work and are understood and lived by everyone within our school community.
