Pay Rate: $24.77 - $25.74 per hour (depending on experience)

The role of Cleaner is to bring or to maintain the premises in a clean condition. Contribute to the effective and efficient operation and environment of the school by providing a high level of cleaning of the school's facilities. 

What we are looking for: 

  • Experienced Cleaner, preferably in a school environment
  • Hold a current Working with Children Blue Card or be eligible to apply
  • Undertake system based Child Protection Training
  • Undertake Workplace Health & Safety Training

The Typical Duties of the Cleaner would be: 

  • Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, polishers and blowers
  • Sweeping and mopping
  • Vacuuming carpets and mats
  • Dusting desks, tables, shelves and ledges
  • Picking up litter
  • Emptying and washing rubbish bins
  • Removing graffiti from desks, chairs and walls
  • Cleaning windows, fans, fridges and stoves
  • Removing cobwebs
  • Cleaning toilets, sinks and basins
  • Sweeping, blowing and hosing paved areas
  • Locking up rooms
