Hours: 37 hours per week/at least 39 weeks per year (work out of term time is negotiable) Applications for a job share are welcome 

Mercia Learning Trust is a growing multi-academy trust which currently includes 2 secondary and 3 primary schools. Our mission is to provide an outstanding education for pupils from 0-19. We are currently looking to recruit a high calibre Clerical Officer/Receptionist to our existing team.  In this role you will: 

• Be a first point of contact for all visitors to the school; able to deal with queries and/or  signpost to the relevant staff in school 

• Work as part of a team of support staff in providing a high level of clerical and administrative support to the school. 

• Be a team player who shows initiative, meets deadlines and has a flexible and adaptable approach   

The ideal candidate will be: 

Organised and conscientious; 

A good communicator; able to build good relationships with students and their families as well as regular visitors;

Able to deal sensitively and discreetly with a wide range of people; 

Flexible and able to work to deadline and under pressure.

King Ecgbert School is a large 11-18 secondary school of roughly 1450 students, including a sixth form of around 380 students. Our school is situated in Dore in the south-west of Sheffield, close to the Peak District. We serve a vibrant and diverse catchment, stretching from the very edge of the city to the very centre, following the Abbeydale corridor; we are a truly comprehensive school.
