Job overview

The successful candidate for this position will receive an Outwood Welcome Bonus of £5,000 in addition to an annual salary. This will be paid in the first month’s salary.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring classroom practitioner to join out Computer Science department from September 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. 

You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’. 

The post is open to applications from both ECT and qualified candidates.

  • As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate students and raise their aspirations through a range of strategies
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential
  • Be able to create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students

Job Description

The DfE are promoting additional payments to encourage early career teachers in state-funded secondary schools in England to continue teaching. These early career teachers will need to be teaching in one of the following subject areas: Chemistry, Computer Science, Maths or Physics. 

It is worth noting that, in this context, the DfE are referring to early career teachers who trained to teach during, or after, 2017/18.
