Job Title: Cover Supervisor 

Required:  As soon as possible

Contract:  Full time - Permanent

Salary:   SC6, Point 20 - £26,446 actual salary £23,127.81

Hours:    37 hours per week, term time only 

The Cover Supervisor will supervise classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher, implement work programmes and manage pupil behaviours and assist pupils in relevant activities.

The post holder will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to secure good outcomes for all students. In addition, the post holder will actively promote the academy’s values and assist teaching staff in narrowing the gap between disadvantaged and other children.    The post would suit a graduate/someone looking to gain experience to pursue a teaching career.   fixed term position to start as soon as possible.

Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to multi task. Experience of a similar role would be preferable.

Applicants must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.  A grade C or above in English and Maths is essential.

Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as well as providing evidence of qualifications.
