Do you want the opportunity to work with a strong team and shape the future of an ambitious, rapidly growing SEND school in a brand new facility?

Marjory Kinnon School is an all-age (ages 4-16) special school at an exciting time in its history.  We have recently moved into a brand-new, purpose built school building in February 2018.  This means our pupil numbers will increase by over 50% to around 280 in the coming years, making us one of the largest SEND schools in the country.

We are now seeking to appoint an exceptional, dynamic Deputy Headteacher to support us through an exciting period of growth and development, as we make the most of our new building.

Marjory Kinnon aims to provide every individual pupil with the opportunity and support to learn the skills and develop the confidence they need to become a valued, integrated and independent member of their community.  Ofsted judged our school as Good with elements of Outstanding.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who has:

• The drive, vision, ambition and energy to achieve excellence for all our pupils.

• A passion to provide the best possible learning and teaching, across the primary and secondary curricula.

• Proven leadership qualities and the ability to challenge, inspire and motivate colleagues through change.

• A proven record as an imaginative, innovative, resourceful and decisive leader.

• A knowledge of how to meet the educational, social and emotional needs of pupils  with a range of special needs including autism.

In return, we offer:

• A strong team of enthusiastic, high-performing and dedicated staff who welcome fresh ideas

• An active governing body with a highly experienced chair, and supportive, engaged parents.

• A well-resourced and enjoyable working environment.

• A school that not only invests in our pupils, but also our staff by providing a range of tailored and bespoke CPD opportunities.

• Excellent transport links with Hatton Cross Station and Feltham Station close by.

• A state-of-the-art new building and facilities.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged.  Please contact our HR Manager,  Christine Houston by email on hr@marjorykinnon.hounslow.sch.uk

Marjory Kinnon School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Candidates will require Enhanced DBS clearance check.  For candidates who have lived or worked abroad in the last five years we will require an overseas police check and you will be asked to provide a good conduct certificate.  Further information can be found at www.gov.uk
