Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar (KTJ) is a thriving international day and boarding school set in beautiful Malaysian countryside, an hour’s drive south of Kuala Lumpur. The School was established in 1991 as a charity and now caters for more than 1,000 students aged 3 to 19.

We are seeking inspirational and highly motivated leader to lead and develop our Faculty of Music across our Primary and Secondary schools. Music is part of our academic curriculum for all students in Year 1 to Form 3 (Year 9) and is an optional subject at IGCSE and A Level. We follow CIE courses for our examination classes. In addition, we offer a programme of individual instrumental music lessons and the faculty is involved in producing various musical and dramatic staged productions throughout the year. More details can be found in the information pack for this role.

KTJ is a thriving, not-for-profit international, day and boarding school set in the beautiful Malaysian countryside, an hour’s drive south of Kuala Lumpur. The School was established in 1991 and caters to more than 1,000 students aged 3 to 19. The Primary School, which opened in 2013, follows the English National Curriculum in English and mathematics, alongside the International Primary Curriculum; while the Secondary School prepares students for IGCSEs and A Levels. Most students go on to study at UK universities.

Teaching Information

Teachers at Kolej Tuanku Jaafar are expected to hold at least 2 years’ relevant experience in their teaching subject and the British National Curriculum, with strong IT skills. Teachers are also expected to engage fully in the life of the school.
