Thetford Grammar School is entering an exciting new era as we prepare to open our first international Early Years campus in China.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner with experience in teaching ages 3 to 6 years to join our development of a bespoke programme of learning for delivery to pupils in Changsha, China. 

Planning is currently underway and we will be looking for a highly-motivated individual to join us in Thetford as soon as possible ahead of going out Changsha in March. 

Candidates will have a proven track record of success within, and a strong understanding of, EYFS/Pre-Preparatory education in the UK. The role will be a challenging and busy one requiring collaboration with colleagues in China and the UK. A flexible approach and an aptitude for team work will be essential. 

Our international staff will have the full support of a Head who is widely renowned within the educational sector in China, a parent body fully invested in their child's success, and our senior and middle leaders in the UK. We will offer staff that successfully complete two years internationally suitable positions in the UK (subject to right to work) enabling a unique programme of professional development for the right person.

About Thetford Grammar School

Thetford Grammar School is an independent co-educational day school in Thetford, Norfolk, with some 300 pupils aged from 3-19 coming from feeder schools across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

Celebrating its 900th anniversary in 2014, the school is one of the oldest in England. It was a state grammar school until it became independent in 1981. The school occupies two sites in the centre of the town. Some buildings date back to Tudor times, others are brand new,and despite being a relatively small school, it offers a wide range of facilities.
