Economics and Business Studies Teacher

Dyatmika School is an established, not for profit school on the beautiful island of Bali, Indonesia. We are seeking a qualified and experienced teacher of Economics and Business Studies.   Contract is July 2022 - July 2024, renewable.


What we would like from you

We require you to: 

  • be fully qualified as a teacher for this subject / age range  
  • have 5 years of experience as a qualified teacher (Indonesian Immigration requirement 
  • have experience teaching IGCSE and AS/ A level Economics and Business Studies 
  • be less than 60 years young at the end of a 2-year contract. This is not how Dyatmika views the vast experience that teachers in this age bracket bring to teaching, but we are bound by Indonesian Immigration regulations. 


It would also be an advantage to have: 

  • working knowledge of the Cambridge International curriculum 
  • experience of teaching a mainstream English curriculum to students who have English as an additional language  
  • some Indonesian language skills


Additional selection criteria: 

  • High standard of effective teaching practice and a commitment to professional learning 
  • Proven capacity to raise levels of achievement of Economics and Business Studies students 
  • Ability to build positive professional relationships with colleagues, students and parents 
  • Respect for a diverse school culture 
  • Capacity to adapt to life in Bali
