Examinations Officer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an exceptional, enthusiastic and highly effective Examinations Officer to join our School. 

This is a key role and the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the examinations service, ensuring that there is a systematic approach to the administration of examinations and that the service meets regulatory and school requirements. 

Ideally you will have experience of working with examinations administration in a school environment, managing and processing data on a range of ICT applications including SIMS.  You should have excellent administrative and planning skills with the ability to work independently to tight deadlines.  Excellent communication skills are essential, an ability to relate to young people and the confidence to support and challenge senior staff.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only plus 15 days:

Charters School is a very heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Comprehensive Academy School with 1700 students on roll (including 390 in the Sixth Form) located in Sunningdale, Ascot, Berkshire.  It is a dynamic, high-achieving secondary school where students are polite, motivated to succeed and enjoy their education.   The school provides a complete range of opportunities for students to achieve well academically and for successful personal development within a caring and supportive environment.

The school has celebrated its 65th anniversary, having been opened on the 23 April 1958, which is also St. George’s Day and Shakespeare’s birthday.  The red cross of the school badge comes from the cross of St. George, the dagger symbolises Shakespeare and the stag is the symbol of Berkshire.
