Finance Planning and Reporting Manager


The Finance Planning & Reporting Manager plays an integral role in the success of the organisation, guiding the development and management of financial plans aligned to the Strategic Plan along with leading engagement across all schools and support functions to ensure that system resources are used effectively and efficiently.  This role also has primary responsibility for coordinating the company’s forecasting and financial planning processes coupled with providing comprehensive and insightful management reporting, analysis and advice on complex financial issues.

An applicant must:

  • have a working knowledge of WHS and equity in employment with a demonstrated capacity to apply related principles and policies
  • CA/CPA membership and Tertiary accounting qualification or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training
  • demonstrate proactive adherence to the teachings of the Catholic Church and by conduct and lifestyle, be able to give witness to the Church’s mission

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in senior financial roles leading organisational planning, forecasting and reporting within a complex organisation and proven analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong background in business partnering roles providing high level advice and expert analysis on all aspects of business performance and planning to senior management with proven success in value add and process improvement.
  • Experience managing and developing corporate performance management, business intelligence and data visualisation tools.
  • Manipulating large datasets and integrating financial and operational data to develop financial models and provide analysis on operating performance.
  • Extensive leadership, team facilitation and coordination skills including the ability to mentor staff whilst building a cohesive responsive team that delivers excellent customer focused services
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and business requirements.
