ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious technician to join us as soon as possible. The successful candidate will become part of a pivotal team supporting colleagues to raise standards and further drive progress at Trinity Academy. We are seeking an innovative and motivational technician with good subject knowledge, in Food Technology and Art, and the desire and commitment to raise achievement of students at all levels. 


We are looking for a candidate who has: 

  • Ability to use a variety of ICT packages  
  • A basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations  
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work in an organised and methodical manner  
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good work ethics
  • Excellent people skills  
  • Good team-working skills  and the ability to work using own initiative
  • An ability to collaborate effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities  


The candidate will be expected: 

• To assist teachers in the preparation of lesson materials and daily check of room consumables.  

• To maintain elevated levels of cleanliness and tidiness of stock cupboards.  

• To be responsible for the ordering of stock.  

• To maintain stocktake of Food department inclusive of annual checks, requisitions and receipts of supplies, local purchase of required items.  

• Control of petty cash account.  

• To organise, store, and record-keep equipment and consumables.  

• Perform regular safety checks of all based equipment  

• Prepare ingredients for all lessons.  

• Care and maintain labs and equipment.
