September 2022

We wish to appoint, for September 2022, an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed university graduate whose principal duty will be to help coach and deliver the Tudor Hall School sports programme. This programme offers all of our pupils the chance to explore the opportunities that sport offers, allowing them to express themselves through physical wellbeing activities and facilitates those who wish to excel in their chosen sport. Successful candidates will also help in boarding houses, assist with the weekend activities programme, and potentially assist in an academic department appropriate to the strengths of the graduate. Candidates should have experience of coaching at least one sport from hockey, netball, lacrosse or tennis at a junior level, ideally they will have experience playing to a high level at University or representative level.

This position is designed to allow graduates who might be considering a teaching career to experience life in a boarding school as fully as possible. Previous graduate assistants have gone on to positions in education. We are also happy to receive applications from those wishing to take a year out, but not necessarily considering teaching as a career.

This is a fixed term appointment with flexibility for a minimum of one term or maximum of one year

Contract effective from September 2022.

Applications will be assessed in order of receipt and interviews may occur at any stage after applications are received. Please apply as soon as possible and not later than 13:00 Friday 12 August 2022.

All staff share responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
