About Tudor Hall School
Tudor Hall is a small school where each girl is known and valued. We aim to work with our girls to find their strengths and to help them fulfil their potential. The education we offer is broad and extends beyond the classroom. Our academic curriculum is balanced by an activities programme that combines physical challenges and cultural visits and experiences.
Our aim at Tudor Hall is to educate each individual girl to the very best of her aptitude and potential, both intellectually and personally, so that she will be able to rise to the varied challenges and opportunities that she will be offered both at school and beyond.
The curriculum offers a broad academic education coupled with many opportunities to participate in musical activities, drama productions, educational trips and visits, numerous clubs and societies and a wide range of sports and games.
The academic curriculum is reinforced with a Thinking Skills programme and a Study Skills programme intended to produce independent, analytical and logical thinkers capable of high-level problem solving.
All pupils take the CLAIT qualifications in Information and Communication Technology throughout their time at Tudor Hall which equips them with the ICT skills essential in today’s world.
Pupils who are working in their second language are supported by our English as a Foreign Language specialist.
That we succeed in our aims is reflected in our excellent Value Added scores: those most recently available place us in the top 5% in the country.
At all key decision points such as GCSE and AS choices we work closely with parents to achieve the most appropriate courses for their daughters. The annual timetable is tailored to the specific option choices made by the girls and not on any existing blocking system.
We are committed to academic excellence and are justifiably very proud of our A level and GCSE results. However, success on the sports’ field, on the stage or in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award are also very important in the all-round education of our girls.
We are a full boarding school with some day girls in each year group. Our pastoral support is organised to ensure that there is a fully integrated and close-knit community. We are an Anglican school and this underpins our daily routines. Our values are traditional and good manners are still very important amongst our girls.
The school is surrounded by beautiful parkland in which our girls are able to run about and thrive away from external pressures.
We are ambitious for all our girls and are preparing them for the world outside in everything we do. The mark of our success is the girls themselves: they make a visit worthwhile!
