Head of Design Technology Department 

Salary: TLR 1.1 £7,662

Required for September 2017 

We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated and inspirational Head of Design Technology to inspire, challenge and support our students and lead the Design Technology Department into their next exciting phase of development.

Design Technology at Poole High School is a large and well-resourced department, with 12 dedicated rooms and workshops. Students study a range of disciplines at key stage 3, 4 and 5 and we are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner with the ability to lead and manage all aspects of provision for Design Technology throughout KS3-5. 

If you are looking to teach within a highly professional and supportive comprehensive environment and would welcome the opportunity to work with us to enable all our students to reach their full potential, then we would like to hear from you. We are seeking an experienced teacher who can teach across at least two specialist areas.

Poole High School is an oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive school serving families throughout the historic town of Poole. As one of the largest schools in this selective catchment, we pride ourselves on the fact that all students thrive in this caring and collaborative team. 

The school has achieved its best ever set of results for the second successive year and this year we are the most successful comprehensive school in the authority.  Our OFSTED inspection In November 2016 stated Poole High School is a good and rapidly improving school.
