This role is an exciting career opportunity for the candidate to engage in a tailored training and development programme, moving on from the maternity cover role, to take further responsibilities within the school. This position would have a TLR attached to it, and is a role to grow a career for the future.

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Geography (maternity cover) with the skills, vision and energy to lead and develop our Geography Department. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and improving outcomes for students. They will be inspirational, able to build a strong team and be an excellent communicator and team-player. They will be skilled at developing schemes of work, differentiating resources, and driven to see all students make excellent progress.

Fullbrook is a mixed 11-18 Academy classified by Ofsted in March 2017 as Good.  In 2017, 84% of students achieved 5 or more GCSEs at 4+ including English and Maths. 

At Fullbrook we believe all students should be challenged to achieve more than they ever thought possible, and offer a variety of extra-curricular activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh scheme to enhance our students’ talents.

Fullbrook offers a fully, tailored CPD programme which supports the needs of staff and encourages progression.
