We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the full time, permanent position of Head of Geography.

We are looking for an experienced teacher to lead this subject. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative, qualified teacher to join a thriving department within our school.

Overview of the Academy

Newark Academy is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary academy with sixth form in Nottinghamshire. As of the most recent inspection there were 619 students on the school roll, of which 48 were in 16-19 study programmes. The school is a member of the Nova Education Trust.

Newark Academy has a very clear ethos focused on the achievement and well-being of all our students. There is a belief that a school should be at the very heart of the community and places great value on collaboration, partnership and service alongside a range of core values that compliment academic excellence. There is also a drive to develop commitment, independence and courtesy in all students. Expected the very highest standards and in return staff value and respect student ideas and opinions.

Newark Academy offers a collection of unique enrichment activities for students to access that will help them tap into and build on their skills and talents. As well as a range of sporting teams activities for students includes street dance, yoga, and martial arts. The academy also has strong connections with Newark Community Art Club.
