We require an enthusiastic and committed Head of Personal Development (PHSE) with a teaching specialism ideally in Maths, Science, Geography or History. This post may be of interest to newly qualified teachers or experienced colleagues who wish to join a thriving and successful school.

The Fernwood School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 academy, situated in Wollaton in Nottingham. The school has been recognised by Ofsted and the Department for Education for excellent academic standards and outstanding care and discipline. It achieved Leading Edge status for excellent practice in 2004. There are 1,016 students on the school roll.

The Fernwood School became a Specialist Technology College in 2005 and a Specialist School in Mathematics and Science in 2010. It is also a recognised centre of excellence for Languages, Expressive Arts and Sport.
