We are looking for an enthusiastic Head of School to work with our highly engaged students and parents. British School Salalah has recently formed a partnership with British School Muscat, one of the leading schools in the Middle East. The position reports to the Principal of BSM and the role is fully supported by the Principal and the team at BSM. The role is located in Salalah, Oman’s second largest city, which offers pristine white sand beaches, impressive mountains, stunning waterfalls and traditional Omani hospitality. Salalah is also known for its unique Khareef (monsoon) Festival, between June and September and attracts visitors from all around Oman and the Middle East region.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking to appoint an energetic, experienced and visionary leader who shows independence of thought, creativity and innovation, whilst maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability and commitment.
As the Head of School for British School Salalah, you will need to lead with clarity, determination and sensitivity to achieve your vision for the development of School. We expect that you will be an excellent classroom practitioner and you will have the gravitas, knowledge and understanding to lead and inspire others.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Deputy Head or Head of School however, we will also consider an experienced leader looking for their first Headship.

British School Salalah (BSS) is an expanding and delightful school on the shores of the Arabian Sea. It was founded in 1970 based in a small hut on the beach. It moved to a villa in Salalah town in 1977 and then on to its present site in 1980. BSS is the only British National Curriculum school in Salalah and is a member of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME). It has recently been recognised as a COBIS Member and is looking to achieve COBIS Accreditation this academic year.
The Dhofar region is experiencing a period of unprecedented economic growth and investment, particularly in the tourist sector.
