We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative Head of Sixth Form to lead a dynamic team to achieve the very best for all of our students, Post-16. This responsibility is for the academic progress and pastoral welfare of our students as well as the day-to-day running of the Sixth Form. This role is to prepare our students to be successful in their chosen path, post-18.

As Head of Sixth Form, you will contribute to the overall leadership and management of Guilsborough School Multi Academy Trust and be active in promoting its aims and supporting an ethos that promotes achievement and high standards.

With the support of the Vice Principal, you will provide outstanding educational leadership for all colleagues that teach within the Sixth Form. You will lead the development, planning, delivery and monitoring of the Sixth Form and engage effectively with all partners in providing a high quality learning environment. You will also have a clear vision of a contemporary personalised curriculum driven by quality first teaching that challenges and supports students of all ability levels.

The role includes strategic overview with direct responsibility for Year 13. The Second in Sixth Form will have responsibility for Year 12.

The ideal candidate will need to be a strong role model for our students and teachers that they lead and manage. They will be someone who can motivate and empower others to be the very best they can be.

Considerate and responsible attitudes and behaviour are fostered through a strong personal and social education programme.

At Guilsborough we celebrate diversity and our intake is fully comprehensive. We are oversubscribed every year and as an inclusive community we have students from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds. We also have a dedicated team who support students with special educational needs.

We work hard to enhance the links with our feeder schools. This ensures the progression to secondary school is successful and happy for both students and parents/carers. An extensive transition programme supports this process.
