An Exciting Opportunity for September 2017 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead this Secondary Academy located in North Northamptonshire close to the Leicestershire border which is located in an area with a swiftly expanding population. Montsaye Academy is currently on a rapid journey to improvement following a recent OFSTED inspection. The school is a member of a Multi Academy Trust which consists of one secondary school and 6 very successful feeder primary schools who formed Montsaye Community Learning Partnership as equal partners in 2013.  Montsaye is at the heart of its surrounding community and has an established 6th from and attached sports centre open to the community.    

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leadership which may be at headship level or as part of the Senior Leadership Team.  You will already have experience of supporting a school to rapidly improve and most importantly you will be a willing and capable learner, able to listen and take on board the ideas of others whilst articulating a clear vision for your school.  You will have the ability to inspire and empower others to share in achieving this vision and have the determination to build on strengths and lead the school to future success. The successful candidate will be committed to being involved at a strategic level in the further growth of our multi academy trust and will have the ability to maintain and develop excellent relationships with board members and strategic partners.

Montsaye Academy is located in the historic Northamptonshire market town of Rothwell, easily reached from Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Bedfordshire. Northamptonshire was recently placed as third in the country in the Halifax Quality of Life Survey and is one of the greenest counties in in England; with 161 parks covering 1,600 acres.

Montsaye Academy has been through a turbulent last 18 months but is going through a process of rapid improvement. The school is on an upward trajectory and has a very exciting future ahead.

The academy is a member of Pathfinder Schools with eight primaries from who we draw the majority of our cohort each year. We have other very effective partnerships with local secondary schools that also enhance our curriculum and support our practice.

• National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders

• National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders

• We are also supporting teachers to complete PhDs in Education
