We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of History. It would also be advantageous for the applicant to teach Politics and/or Law. This is a fixed term contract for one year.
History is a popular and successful subject which runs within the humanities faculty. All students study History in year 9 and students can opt for History at GCSE and A Level where it is a popular choice for both. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to teach both GCSE and A Level classes so experience in teaching both is required.
The post would be suitable for both newly qualified and experienced teachers.
From September 2020 successful candidates may be eligible for brand new, subsidized, fully- furnished accommodation in Ampthill, sponsored by the Connolly Foundation. More details will be available following your appointment to the post. Details of the scheme can be found on the RTSA website.

Redborne is a successful school on a spacious and pleasant campus near the market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire. We achieve excellent examination results with about three-quarters of students typically gaining Maths and English at grades 9 – 4.
