Redborne Upper School and Community College

Redborne Upper School and Community College is a mixed secondary academy with sixth form, based in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. The school provides for 1,600 pupils aged 13-18. It converted to academy status in 2011. 

Redborne Upper School and Community College has a large sixth form, accommodating 450 students, and is also a training school, offering prospective teachers postgraduate and graduate training programmes.

As a training school, Redborne Upper School and Community College places a heavy emphasis on high standards of teaching, seeking to develop capable educators through a sharp and attentive monitoring process. Teaching and learning is at the centre of the professional development programme and the retention of quality teachers is a priority. 

Redborne promotes the values of tolerance, believing that social and cultural development is essential for students as they progress as citizens. The Bedfordshire academy has a working farm where students can qualify in agriculture.
