Head of Science Faculty Required from 1st September 2018  MPS Outer London and TLR 1b £9472.00  We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, strategic and inspiring leader of Science who leads by example in the classroom. This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to work with a team of teachers who are eager to further develop and improve the outcomes for students in Science. You will be leading the department at an exciting time in its development, managing curriculum change and, through your work within Science, contributing to whole school success.  The successful candidate will: • Have the ability to lead successfully within the department, ensuring attainment improves rapidly • Be a strategic and innovative thinker  • Be able to inspire and motivate students and colleagues  • Lead the department by example to achieve success for all students  • Take responsibility for curriculum development at KS3 and KS4  • Be a proven outstanding teacher who is able to coach and mentor other staff   Cleeve Park School is part of the Kemnal Academies Trust which offers first class professional development and opportunities to share best practice across the federation. We are also part of the TKAT SCITT and are eager to work with Science graduates looking to train as teachers through a school based training route.   We are a popular 11-18 school, providing an excellent education for all our students, with a commitment to learning, pride in our community and sharing success in all we do. Following a successful Ofsted Inspection In January 2015 the school is rated as ‘Good’. We are situated in attractive grounds in the south of Bexley and located within easy reach of the M25 with good access to both central London and rural Kent. The Science department is delighted to have recently been awarded funding to refurbish three of its Science laboratories.
