We are a transformed Academy with outstanding leadership and management (OFSTED 2014).

The City of London Academy’s 2016 GCSE results were outstanding, with the Academy being ranked 15th in the country, 6th in London and 1st in Islington for pupil progress, with a Progress 8 score of 0.81. In 2017, we maintained this exceptional record with 91% of students achieving a grade 4 (equivalent to a C) or above in English and 67% of students achieving 5 or more good GCSE passes, including English and mathematics.

Our sixth form students also achieved exemplary results, with nearly one-fifth of grades awarded being A* or A grades, half of grades at A* to B and 90% at A* to C. Our progress score for A Levels placed the Academy in the top 10% of all sixth form providers in the country. Ninety percent of our Year 13 students secured a place at university, with many progressing to Russell Group institutions.

In order to help deliver our vision of being an outstanding Academy at all levels, we are looking to appoint an excellent HR Director.

We offer;

  • a comprehensive professional development      programme
  • bursary scholarships
  • academy to academy partnerships.

We have two exceptional sponsors, The City of London Corporation, and the City, University of London who have first class track records in supporting education in urban areas and who are part of a shared vision and determination to deliver success.
