Inclusion Room Manager

The Queen Elizabeth Academy are looking to appoint an exceptional Inclusion Room Manager. We are seeking a professional who is calm, patient and resilient to work with some of our most vulnerable and challenging students. We will expect the successful candidate to possess a good sense of humour, to like and respect young people and to be a consistent team player.

The role will require the successful candidate to maintain the highest standards in the room, including the observing of routines and ensuring that students make the same progress as if they were in their classroom. Having experience of working in education will be a distinct advantage as will the ability to oversee our restorative justice education work in the room to rehabilitate students to return to the classroom having reflected on and modified their behaviour.

This role is extremely rewarding and building positive relationships with young people will be critical. As an academy our approach is warm/strict and we will require the successful candidate to undertake training in our warm strict approach to language, classrooms and in how to run our inclusion room.

The Queen Elizabeth Academy is an 11-16 mixed academy based in Atherstone with approximately 715 pupils on roll. Following our Ofsted inspection in June 2022, we retained our “Good” rating, a real testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students. Ofsted commented the pupils were “respectful of each other’s views and are exceptionally supportive.

Pupils behave well. They are proud of their school and the improvements that have been made in recent years. Pupils enjoy school and know that leaders and staff have the highest expectations for them.” The Ofsted report is a fair reflection of the academy, and we continue to develop as we push from Good to Great.

In November 2016, as part of the Priority School Building Programme, we moved into brand new premises that have given us access to fantastic new facilities, which really set us apart in the locality.
