Inclusion Support/English Teacher - Years 5-8


The successful teacher will be able to use their appropriate knowledge and skills to ensure that students receive superior quality education consistent with Catholic faith and Christian principles. Their role is to:

work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/caregivers and other educational agencies and personnel to facilitate learning by students;

work collaboratively with the Curriculum Coordinator to ensure that educational programs and support are in place to address the diverse range of special learning needs of students;

carry out professional duties and to work with classroom teachers to support students with identified learning needs; and,

promote the aims and objectives of the College and maintain its philosophy of education.

The teacher will liaise and coordinate activities for their teaching area within the school and wider community. Please see the attached Position Information Document for a full list of responsibilities and duties. The supporting subject to the Inclusion Support role is English for Years 5 to 8.


Essential criteria include:

a demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission;

Knowledgeable in the Australian curriculum areas;

An outstanding classroom manager;

Committed to student pastoral care;

ICT literate; and,

First Aid Certificate desirable

Salary as per the current EBA and consistent with experience and qualifications. Range from $75,169 to $107,803.


This full time permanent teaching position commencing 29/01/2021.
