Job overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our Intensive Support Team at Leeds West Academy. The successful candidate will be able to deliver one-to-one and small group sessions to support students who are struggling to cope with the mainstream curriculum, or who are facing other difficulties in their lives. This is a challenging, yet rewarding role, which will suit somebody who is looking to work with students who have challenging behaviour, or who is thinking about going into teaching in the future.

Salary: B3 (£17,333 to £19,317 pro rata £14,759 to £16,448)
Hours: 37 hours, Term Time only plus 5 days

Leeds West is a co-educational, non-denominational 11-16 secondary in the city’s district of Bramley. The school is a member of the White Rose Academies Trust. There are currently approximately 1,300 students on the school roll. The school is located near Summerfield Primary School and Stanningley Park. The school offers an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities from martial arts to chess. The school is also sponsored by Leeds City College.
