What You’ll Do:
- Provide day-to-day IT support for staff and students
- Troubleshoot and maintain IT hardware and software
- Assist with system upgrades and planned maintenance
- Help manage and record IT assets
- Respond to service desk requests and escalate issues as needed
- Work collaboratively with the IT team to deliver a high-quality service
What We’re Looking For:
- A keen interest in IT and problem-solving
- Willingness to learn in a hands-on environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and common IT tools
- A proactive and professional attitude
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- GCSEs (Grade 9–4/A*–C) in English and maths
- Prior study in IT or digital subjects (e.g. BTEC, Cambridge Nationals)
- Some experience helping others with tech (formally or informally)

About Huish Episcopi Academy
Huish Episcopi Academy is a large, non-selective, mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11-18 based in the heat of the Somerset Levels with a large catchment area. We are proud to be part of United Learning. At Huish, we offer the full national curriculum to all students with opportunities for our pupils to engage in a broad range of additional activities in sports, music, and the creative arts. It is our aim to develop rounded individuals who are not only academically successful, but who also have opportunities to develop their character education, such as leadership, teamwork, and communication. Our sixth form provides pupils with aspirational courses that allows them to pursue university places or employment after school. The work within school is underpinned by our values of Respect, Ambition and Resilience.
Systems within school focus on allowing disruption-free teaching with the notion of continuous improvement underpinning all we do. We work with colleagues to develop as reflective practitioners, utilising shared best practice and evidence-based teaching and learning initiatives. Our in-house CPD is extensive and high quality and compliments numerous external CPD opportunities within United Learning and through nationally recognised training and qualifications.
