We are looking for an IT Network & Systems Manager who would like to join our dynamic and successful school; someone who would like to be part of a friendly and hard-working team.


The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the delivery of IT Services so that school staff are effectively supported in their delivery of short and longer-term educational ambitions.

  • Lead the management of all IT network, staff, resources and contracts, ensuring the optimisation and effective delivery of services.

  • Co-ordinate all IT activities to ensure the availability of systems, services and data to all stakeholders.

  • Work to ensure that IT is regarded as a strength of the school by providing the strategic leadership and management to ensure the successful development of the IT provision.

  • Have demonstrable detailed knowledge, experience and understanding of Network Management in a related field.

  • Either hold, or be working towards, a graduate degree or Level 7 qualification.

  • Have experience of working with large IT networks.

  • Be highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, and hardworking, with a flexible approach to tasks and responsibilities.

  • Have a commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the principles and practice of equal opportunities.

  • Be committed to the principles and practice of safeguarding all young people.

Whitmore High School is a mixed, non-denominational community comprehensive secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in the London Borough of Harrow, and is operated by the local council.

Whitmore was founded in 1974, and has about 1,600 pupils.
