Job overview

We are looking to appoint a confident and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our KS2 team.

• The role is 32.5 hours per week (8.30am - 3.30pm). 38 weeks per year, term time only.  

• This includes working an hour each day as a midday supervisor

• A NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or the equivalent qualifications or experience is required.  

You must be able to work in partnership with the class teacher to support identified pupils and groups of pupils including those with SEND.  Your role will be to support children’s learning and engage with them in lessons.  You must be able to deliver and track performance of pupils in specified groups when taking intervention groups to help improve progress. You must also be committed to raise standards and achievement and the learning potential of our pupils.

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.
