We are now seeking a reliable, organised and committed Lead Invigilator to join our high‑performing team and support the smooth, secure and professional running of all examinations across the academy.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is calm, confident and meticulous, with a genuine desire to support students during a key stage of their educational journey. Working closely with the Exams Officer, you will play a vital role in the preparation, administration and delivery of all internal and external examinations.

You will help coordinate the invigilation team, ensure exam regulations are followed, and maintain a supportive and well‑organised exam environment for all candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Exams Officer in the operational running of all examinations

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of invigilators including providing clear briefings and guidance to invigilators

  • Ensure exam rooms meet all JCQ compliance requirements and maintain a calm, controlled and supportive environment for candidates

  • Oversee secure distribution, collection and logging of exam papers

  • Provide general administrative support to the Exams Office

  • Collate, package and securely dispatch completed scripts in line with JCQ requirements

  • Support the downloading and distribution of results and availability for key results days

Skills & Qualities

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Calm, reliable and able to manage unexpected situations

  • A clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by example

  • Professional, discreet and committed to exam integrity

  • Experience in invigilation is preferred but not essential as all training will be provided
