About the role

City of London Academy Islington (COLAI) is seeking to appoint a determined and innovative Lead Practitioner of Mathematics from September 2023. As Lead Practitioner, you will Lead and develop high quality pedagogy throughout the department, have responsibility for strong leadership in mathematics and direct line management of staff.

You will deliver the highest possible educational standards and create a high expectation culture in which students are motivated to succeed, providing the consistent leadership necessary to ensure staff are supported and are fully committed to their students achieving outstanding outcomes.

COLAI works with a curriculum which is broad and balanced, and which provides children with necessary life experiences. In 2019, Ofsted awarded the Academy an outstanding rating, noting that “the school has been transformed into an exciting environment where pupils and staff thrive. Outcomes are outstanding and pupils’ progress is exceptional. This is a school where ‘no child is left behind.”
