We are seeking to appoint a committed and talented Learning Mentor, to work at the City of Peterborough Academy.

This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment. Previous experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will;

  • be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills
  • be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parent/carers and outside agencies

Our academy was opened in September 2013 by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build. Based on Reeves Way in Peterborough, the academy has quickly grown from strength to strength with the most recent Ofsted inspection in April 2015 judging the academy as “Outstanding”, noting pupil behaviour as “exemplary”. A dedicated team of staff aim to help support every child in reaching their full potential.

In return, the academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust, look to support staff in their careers and offer first class CPD and opportunities for career progression.

This role is for 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday and is required in term time only; therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary.
