Learning Resources Centre Officer
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, term time only
Salary: £19,935 (Full Time equivalent)
£16,834 pro rata for the hours stated.
Start date: 18 April 2017
We are looking for a dynamic, organised, enthusiastic person who is flexible and adaptable and can work within a team providing library services to both students and staff. The LRC has a regularly updated paper-based and digital library and excellent IT and study facilities. There are over 70 computer workstations with additional iPads that can be borrowed for student use. It stocks over 30,000 books, audio-books, e-books, DVDs and Kindles, as well as a wide variety of magazines. There is also a Group Study area where students can work quietly together.
The successful candidate will:
- have strong customer services skills
- be numerate with excellent IT, written, oral and spoken communication skills
- have strong organisational skills
- be able to work with initiative and under pressure to deadlines
- be professional and self-motivated
Experience and knowledge of working in a library and/or in an educational environment would be an advantage.
