30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year 

Immediate Start 

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one and small group support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities in our mainstream classes. You will work closely with subject teachers to establish working roles and ensure that students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are fully understood and implemented.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting teachers in the delivery of subject lessons as directed, as well as providing supervision and support for basic academic and functional skills programmes. You will also read through materials with students who experience difficulty with reading, record information for students who experience difficulty with written language, and offer advice to staff on the special needs of individual SEND students.

If you have experience working with students with learning difficulties and disabilities, possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential, then we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Learning Support Assistant.

Maltings is a 11-16 academy based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the cities of Chelmsford and Colchester, the academy has 900 students on roll and benefits from a purpose-built building that was constructed in 2011.
