The salary range for this position is: Spine Point 12 - 16. 

This is a term time only positon: 39 Weeks Per Academic Year. 

The working hours are: 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am - 4:00pm.

The Bridge Academy is the most improved secondary school in Hackney with progress in the top 15% nationally. We are looking for highly skilled individuals to join our team as we work towards achieving our mission: to ensure that all our students will go on to university or a high quality equivalent, thrive in their chosen field and live a great life.

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about attaining the highest standards. We currently have a strong provision for students who need additional support, enabling them to reach their full potential and in turn achieve their academic goals. The successful candidate will be reliable and committed to our mission and vision for our students, sharing our belief that all young people can and must succeed. Do you have?

  • Education to a minimum standard of GCSE Grade A-C standard or equivalent?
  • Experience of working with students with a range of additional needs and challenging behaviour?
  • Awareness of issues related to underachievement and barriers to learning and participation? 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills?

Our award winning building is outstanding and is based at our stunning canal-side location, just minutes from Haggerston Station and just over a mile from the heart of the City of London.

The Bridge Academy opened in September 2007. We educate 900 students in Years 7-11, and our Sixth Form caters for 250 students in Year 12 – 13. Our specialist subjects, Music and Mathematics, sit alongside a broad and rich curriculum; the school timetable has been designed to ensure that there is room for special projects and enrichment and club activities, working with some of the most prestigious organisations in London.
