Learning Support Assistant

(30 hours per week, term time only)

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and committed candidates who have high expectations and can support pupils with a broad range of abilities. Applications are welcome from either experienced or new assistants as the successful candidate will be supported fully in their career and professional development.

Candidates, although not required to have had experience of working in a school, should be able to demonstrate relevant experience/qualifications of working with young people, an ability to encourage and set appropriate targets for pupil behaviour and have a willingness to adapt to a very busy, but happy school environment.

About the School

The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is a highly successful and oversubscribed Roman Catholic comprehensive school for boys, with a pan-London intake and mixed Sixth Form. It was graded outstanding in its most recent Ofsted report and was recently named The Sunday Times Comprehensive School of the Year 2018 and London State Secondary School of the Year. 

Location

Conveniently located halfway between Shepherd’s Bush and Holland Park tube stations, the Vaughan is situated within the leafy surroundings of London’s prestigious Holland Park and is within easy walking distance of Holland Park gardens, Westfield shopping centre and nearby Notting Hill. Both stations are served by the Central Line, with Shepherd’s Bush Overground also running trains to Clapham Junction every ten minutes.
